Kershaw
The Kershaw Dune 4008X is a straightforward fixed blade tanto knife built for hunters, bushcrafters, and outdoor workers who need a reliable edge without unnecessary complexity. The 3.80" blade is forged from 3Cr13MoV stainless steel and finished in black oxide, giving it a clean, non-reflective look and corrosion resistance for field use. The black glass-filled nylon handle offers a secure grip in wet conditions and stands up to hard use—no maintenance fussing required. This is the kind of knife that vanishes into a pack, does its job, and doesn't demand attention.
The tanto profile is a proven geometry for general cutting, slicing, and piercing tasks. It works equally well for processing game, preparing camp meals, or tackling utility work around the property. The blade's flat cutting edge near the tip makes precision cuts easier than a curved belly, and the reinforced point won't break if you're driving it through sinew or tougher material. Kershaw backs this design with solid metallurgy—3Cr13MoV holds an edge reasonably well and resists rust in damp camp or hunting environments.
You get the knife, a retention sheath for carry, and a lanyard for security and backup in the field. It's a complete package that works right out of the box. The fixed blade (no folding joints to worry about or maintain) means maximum strength and zero moving parts to fail when you need the knife most. Whether you're hunting in the backcountry, processing in the field, or doing camp chores, the Dune 4008X is a no-frills workhorse.
