KEL-TEC
The Kel-Tec RDB Hunter is a unique .223 Rem/5.56 NATO rifle that breaks from the bullpup design formula to deliver a traditional hunting profile with modern ergonomics. Built on AR-15 platform compatibility, it pairs a 20.5" threaded barrel with a conventional stock assembly, making it an unconventional choice for hunters and shooters who want something different without sacrificing familiar controls or magazine interchangeability.
At 6.9 lbs unloaded and 30.4" overall, the RDB Hunter strikes a balance between maneuverability and sight radius. The sleek forend houses a bipod mount (swivel stud compatible), and the trigger breaks at 4–6 lbs with a cross-bolt safety positioned where hunting-rifle shooters expect it. Its 1:7" twist rate handles standard .223 and 5.56 NATO loads, and since it takes any AR-15 magazine, you're not locked into proprietary feeds—10-round or otherwise.
This is a rifle for hunters and range shooters who appreciate unconventional design done right: precision controls, handy weight, and a traditional handling profile in a platform most modern shooters already understand. Whether you're hunting varmint or working steel, the RDB Hunter deserves a closer look if you've tired of cookie-cutter AR layouts.
