The Kahr Premium Series P380 .380 ACP pistol is a purpose-built micro-compact designed for serious concealed carry and backup duty. At just 4.9 inches overall and weighing under 10 ounces unloaded, this thin-profile carry gun delivers genuine stopping power in a package that disappears in a pocket or waistband without printing. Built on Kahr's proven locked-breech platform with a Lothar Walther match-grade polygonal barrel, the P380 swallows recoil and cycles reliably through quality defensive loads while staying light enough for all-day carry comfort.

The construction here is where Kahr separates itself from budget micro pistols. The matte stainless slide is machined from solid 416R bar stock and locks back on the last round for immediate reload awareness. The black polymer frame incorporates 4140 steel inserts at the front and rear lug — reinforcement that competitors typically skip — giving the gun rigidity and durability that punches above its size class. You get two high-quality 400-series stainless steel magazines with USA-made construction, plasma-welded and fitted with Wolff springs; the all-metal magazine catch anchors them reliably in the polymer frame.

Sights matter on a carry gun, and Kahr included drift-adjustable white bar-dot combat sights that are actually easy to use — a feature you'll appreciate at the range and appreciate more if you ever need to aim under stress. Tritium night sights are available as an upgrade. The double-action-only trigger is smooth and consistent, part of Kahr's safe cam action design found across their entire lineup. Pocket carry, ankle backup, or deep concealment on a duty belt — the P380 performs the role you buy it for without making excuses about size or caliber.

It's a legitimate fighting gun in a size that can be carried consistently, which matters more than capacity or caliber in a true emergency.
