KA-BAR
The Ka-Bar TDI Hell Fire Recurve Tanto knife is a purpose-built fixed blade designed for serious users who need a reliable cutting tool that doesn't compromise on edge geometry or durability. Built around a 3.56" recurve tanto blade, this knife delivers a distinctive cutting profile that excels at both slicing and piercing tasks—making it equally at home in a tactical pack, a hunting kit, or a backcountry setup. The blade is forged from 1095 Cro-Van steel, a material choice that speaks to Ka-Bar's no-nonsense philosophy: tough, easy to sharpen, and proven across decades of field use.
What sets the Hell Fire apart is its recurve tanto geometry. Unlike a straight blade, the recurve profile concentrates pressure at the cutting edge during the draw stroke, rewarding skilled knife work with exceptional cutting efficiency. The tanto point—that angular, chisel-like tip—adds versatility for piercing and detailed work without sacrificing the belly's slicing power. The black Ultramid handle provides a secure, weather-resistant grip that won't degrade in extreme conditions, and it's scaled for control whether you're processing game, setting camp, or handling emergency situations.
This is a fixed blade, meaning no folding joints to fail when you need the knife most. Ka-Bar includes a sheath, so you're ready to carry and deploy right out of the box. If you're building a kit for hunting, overlanding, survival, or tactical work, and you want a cutting tool with genuine performance geometry backed by a brand trusted in the field, the TDI Hell Fire deserves a serious look.

A recurve tanto combines two design elements: the recurve (a curved cutting edge that concentrates pressure) and the tanto (an angular, chisel-like point). This geometry excels at both slicing tasks and precision piercing work. If you're hunting, processing game, or handling detail work in the field, the recurve tanto delivers a versatile edge that rewards good technique.
Yes. 1095 Cro-Van is a high-carbon steel that's straightforward to sharpen with basic field tools—a major advantage if you're away from home for extended periods or prefer self-sufficiency. High-carbon steel does require more attentive maintenance than stainless to prevent rust, but the trade-off is superior edge-holding and sharpening ease.
The Ka-Bar TDI Hell Fire includes a sheath, so you have secure carry sorted immediately. You're ready to kit up and deploy.
The fixed blade, aggressive geometry, and no-nonsense construction make this knife suitable for hunting, field dressing, survival tasks, camping, tactical use, and other situations where you need a reliable cutting tool that won't fold or fail. It's a tool for users who demand performance over novelty.
