Icarus Precision
The Icarus Precision Ace Echelon X is a billet aluminum pistol grip built for shooters who demand ergonomics backed by real engineering. Unlike polymer alternatives, this all-aluminum grip combines aggressive texture, purposeful backstrap geometry, and a high-hand design that works with both compact and full-size slides. If you've shot an Icarus grip before, the Echelon X raises that standard—it's their answer to shooters who want confidence and control from their platform.
Built from 7075 aluminum, the Echelon X features a 360-degree aggressive texture that locks your hand in place, even under recoil or in adverse conditions. The backstrap hump fills your palm naturally and supports a higher grip position, which most competitive and defensive shooters prefer for faster sight acquisition and control. A flipped beaver tail prevents hammer bite, and the undercut trigger guard is deeper than OEM, pushing your trigger finger closer to the trigger itself for a more direct feel. A thumb ledge on the lower left side supports your support-hand thumb—a detail that matters in practical shooting.
The grip ships at 6.5 ounces, noticeably heavier than OEM (3.1 oz), which contributes to reduced perceived recoil and smoother handling. For shooters who want even more weight, the Echelon X accepts two 1/4×3 tungsten rods (sold separately) for further customization. This is a full-size grip designed for compact and full-size slides, and it works with both 17-round magazines and restricted 10-round magazines. Whether you're running a competition rig, a duty build, or a range gun, the Echelon X is a no-compromise upgrade that feels as deliberate as it performs.
