Hornady BLACK 300 AAC Blackout subsonic ammunition brings reliable, consistent performance to suppressed rifles, short-barreled platforms, and subsonic-optimized builds. Built on Hornady's reputation for precision and loaded with their proven A-MAX bullets, this 300 Blackout subsonic round delivers the accuracy and terminal performance you expect whether you're running a suppressed SBR, an AR pistol, or a precision bolt gun chambered in this versatile cartridge. The 208-grain A-MAX projectile is engineered for match-grade consistency and predictable ballistics—critical for subsonic loads where velocity control defines success.

Hornady BLACK ammunition is manufactured in the USA and designed to function reliably across a range of platforms: direct impingement and gas piston systems, suppressed and unsuppressed setups, bolt-action rifles, and everything in between. This isn't one-trick ammo; it's built on the principle that modern shooters run different hardware, and their ammunition should work in all of it. The combination of quality brass cases, reliable primers, and optimized propellant loading ensures consistent velocities and shot-to-shot repeatability, whether you're running drills at the range or hunting in terrain where noise discipline matters.

Each box contains 20 rounds, giving you a practical quantity for testing your rig, running a training session, or zeroing a new suppressor setup. If you're building a 300 Blackout subsonic load that cycles reliably in your specific platform and shoots where you aim, Hornady BLACK delivers the consistency and performance to get there.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will this subsonic ammo work in my suppressed AR?

Yes. Hornady BLACK 300 Blackout subsonic is designed to cycle reliably in suppressed platforms, including direct impingement and gas piston AR builds. Always verify your specific rifle's compatibility and function-test a few rounds to confirm reliable feeding and cycling with your setup.

Can I use this in an unsuppressed rifle?

Yes. While optimized for suppressed applications, Hornady BLACK subsonic ammunition is designed to function in both suppressed and unsuppressed 300 Blackout rifles, including bolt-action platforms. Performance and cycling behavior may vary depending on your platform and barrel length.

What's the difference between subsonic and supersonic 300 Blackout?

Subsonic loads are designed to stay below the speed of sound (approximately 1,125 fps) for reduced report, especially when used with a suppressor. Supersonic rounds exceed that velocity. This product is subsonic-specific, making it ideal for noise-sensitive applications.

How many rounds are in a box?

Each box contains 20 rounds.
