Hornady
If you're setting up a handload operation or looking to maximize the value of your reloading investment, quality brass is where precision begins. The Hornady 8605 Unprimed .223 Rem Rifle Brass Cases come in a 50-pack of virgin cases designed for shooters who demand consistency—whether you're loading for target work, varmint hunting, or building match-grade ammunition. Hornady manufactures these cases to tight tolerances, treating brass as the foundation of accuracy rather than a commodity component.
What separates good brass from great brass is attention to manufacturing detail, and that shows up in two critical ways. First, Hornady maintains tight concentricity standards to ensure bullet seating stays true in both the case and your chamber, which translates to uniform bullet release on firing and better velocity consistency. Second, the uniform case wall thickness—something benchrest reloaders have relied on for decades—directly impacts pressure consistency and, ultimately, shot-to-shot accuracy. This focus on precision means you'll get more usable reloads from each case before it reaches its service life.
Consistency is the reloader's best friend, and Hornady brass delivers it. Every case in this pack is virtually identical in weight and capacity to its neighbors, regardless of production lot. That means your powder charges, velocities, and point-of-impact will remain predictable from round to round. For handloaders serious about .223 ammunition—whether you're running a semi-auto for sport, building precision rifle loads, or developing varmint ammo—this brass gives you a reliable platform to work from.

Hornady brass is designed for multiple reloads when handloaded properly. The exact number depends on your load data, powder charge, and firing conditions, but the consistent construction and uniform wall thickness help extend case life.
Uniform wall thickness ensures consistent internal capacity and pressure development across your batch of ammunition. This consistency is key to achieving predictable velocities and tight groups, which is why benchrest competitors have long prioritized it.
