Hogue
The Hogue OverMolded rifle stock for Winchester Model 70 Long Action combines precision engineering with genuine shooting comfort. If you're upgrading your Winchester or looking to improve ergonomics and control on a rifle that sees regular use—whether at the range or in the field—a quality aftermarket stock can transform how your rifle handles and feels. Hogue's OverMolded design pairs a rigid, fiberglass-reinforced core with a soft rubber exterior molded directly onto the chassis, delivering the same non-slip grip quality Hogue is known for in its pistol grip line.
This stock is fitted to the Winchester Model 70 Long Action and accommodates factory barrel channels, so installation is straightforward. The pillar-bedded design—standard on Hogue's centerfire bolt-action models—uses aluminum bedding to ensure consistent action seating and support, which contributes to shot-to-shot accuracy. You'll notice the ergonomic touches: a straight comb for a repeatable cheekweld, palm swells that encourage a natural grip, and a varminter-style forend finished with a textured Cobblestone pattern that reduces glare and improves handling in bright conditions.
All centerfire models come fitted with a recoil pad, addressing felt recoil and protecting both shooter and stock from impacts. The synthetic construction is inherently durable and low-maintenance, resisting weather and temperature swings better than wood. The rubberized surfaces stay grippy even when wet or cold, a practical advantage during early-season hunts or long range sessions.
