Higdon Decoys
The Higdon Outdoors Standard Puddle Pack Early Season Teal/Wood Duck Foam-Filled Decoys offer a smart, versatile option for waterfowl hunters targeting early-season puddle ducks. This 6-pack includes mixed drakes and hens across three species—Wood Duck, Green-Winged Teal, and Blue-Winged Teal—giving you the variety and confidence that skittish birds look for when deciding whether to commit to your spread. Early-season hunts often mean smaller water and unpredictable conditions; this pack delivers the lightweight portability and affordable depth you need without sacrificing realism.
Each decoy is foam-filled for durability and packability, with a self-righting weighted keel that sets up fast in any water depth. Higdon's proprietary UV paint process and detailed feather carving create natural markings that hold up through the season—no peeling or fading. The innovative keel clip system lets you rig birds quickly in shallow water where early-season teal often congregate. Standard-size bodies are slightly undersized compared to live ducks, making them easier to carry into remote public water or to add numbers and species variation to an existing spread without bulk.
As an official Ducks Unlimited Licensed Product, a portion of your purchase supports wetland conservation—the habitat these birds depend on. Whether you're a minimalist packing into a walk-in spot or filling gaps in a larger rig, this assortment gives you proven early-season appeal at a realistic price point.
