Henry Repeating Arms
The Henry Big Boy Side Gate is a classic .44 Magnum/.44 Special lever-action rifle built for hunters and shooters who appreciate traditional American guncraft combined with modern convenience. This H006G model chambers both .44 Magnum and .44 Special ammunition, giving you flexibility at the range or in the field without swapping rifles. The side-loading gate—a hallmark feature that sets this rifle apart—makes topping off the magazine faster and more intuitive than traditional loading port designs, especially useful during a long day of shooting or hunting.
Built on Henry's reputation for quality, the Big Boy Side Gate pairs a 20-inch octagon blued-steel barrel with a polished hardened brass receiver that turns heads whether you're on the range or in camp. The American walnut furniture feels right in your hands, and the brass buttplate and bead front sight speak to the rifle's timeless character. Fully adjustable semi-buckhorn rear sights with diamond inserts give you the tools to dial in your shot from the bench or in the field, while the drilled and tapped receiver accepts the included BB-RSM scope mount for those who want to add modern glass.
At 8.68 pounds with a 14-inch length of pull, the rifle balances naturally for shooters of various frames. The 10-round capacity and 1:20 barrel twist keep you in the action without constant reloading, and the transfer bar safety provides reliable, proven protection. This is lever-action rifle shooting the way it's meant to be—honest mechanics, genuine appeal, and real-world utility whether you're after deer, hog, or steel at distance.
