Griffin Armament
The Griffin Armament Dual-Lok OTB 2-Port Muzzle Brake for 5.56 is a precision-engineered recoil reduction device built for shooters who demand accuracy and durability. Designed as an over-the-barrel (OTB) interface, it integrates Griffin's proven Paladin R braking geometry—a reverse-flow design that actively counters muzzle rise and keeps your shots tight on target. Whether you're running a precision rifle at the range or a duty-oriented AR in the field, this brake gives you the control to follow up fast and shoot straighter.
Built from 17-4 PH stainless steel and finished in hard black oxide, the Dual-Lok is engineered to handle serious use without wear. The two-piece welded construction combines aesthetic appeal with functional ruggedness, and the robust material choice means it'll stand up to repeated firing cycles and harsh conditions. At 4.15 inches in length and just 4.2 ounces, it balances significant recoil management without unnecessary bulk or added weight.
One standout feature is compatibility with Griffin's SPR and RSTA suppressor line—the OTB interface means seamless pairing if you decide to add sound reduction down the road. The brake ships with a shim set for precise alignment, and it's threaded to standard 1/2x28 or 5/8x24 pitches depending on your rifle's setup. The Griffin laser-marked logo is a nice touch that rounds out a tool built by shooters who respect the details.

The Dual-Lok comes in two standard thread pitches: 1/2x28 or 5/8x24. Verify your barrel's thread pitch before ordering. Most modern 5.56 rifles use 1/2x28, but many .308 and other larger-bore rifles use 5/8x24.
The brake ships with a shim set to dial in proper alignment and timing on your barrel.
The Paladin R uses reverse-flow porting to direct gas backward and upward, actively countering muzzle rise. This geometry helps keep your shots on target and makes follow-up shots faster and more accurate, especially valuable for rapid-fire strings or precision shooting.
