Griffin Armament
The Griffin EZ Brake is a lightweight muzzle device engineered for shooters running suppressors on their .30-caliber rifles. Built around Griffin Armament's Taper Mount interface, this brake combines effective recoil reduction with the flexibility to swap between Griffin's RECCE Paladin Sportsman, Optimus, Bushwhacker, and other compatible suppressor platforms. At just 2.0 ounces, it's one of the lightest mounts available for the Taper Mount system—meaning less weight hanging off your barrel and a more responsive, quicker-handling rifle.
The standout feature is simplicity: six radial slots mitigate recoil without requiring timing, so installation is straightforward. The tapered interface ensures a solid, repeatable lock-up with minimal point-of-impact shift between suppressors. Machined from 17-4 PH stainless steel and finished in durable black nitride, the EZ Brake handles repeated use and field conditions without fuss. A standard 13/16-inch socket wrench is all you need to install it, and Griffin offers a matching thread protector if you want a quick cover when running the brake alone.
This is the right choice if you're building a suppressor-ready .30-cal rifle and want to keep your muzzle device weight penalty minimal while maintaining the Taper Mount flexibility to add or swap silencers as your needs evolve. Whether you're hunting, running a precision rifle, or just want a cleaner shooting experience, the EZ Brake delivers practical recoil management without the complexity.
