Forward Controls Design
The Forward Controls Design adapter plate for Trijicon RMRcc is purpose-built to mount Trijicon's larger RMRcc red dot on Glock 43 and 48 MOS-cut slides. While these Glocks ship ready for Shield RMSc sights, the RMRcc's different footprint and longer profile require a precision adapter—and Forward Controls didn't just raise the mounting surface; they engineered a solution that keeps your dot as low as possible for a natural sight picture and optimal co-witness with iron sights.
The engineering here is thoughtful. Because the RMRcc overhangs the slide when mounted, Forward Controls positioned the sight toward the center of the plate to minimize unsupported cantilever on the sealing plate's front end. They also eliminated a common gap that forms between the RMRcc's rubber battery gasket and its sealing plate—a detail that matters for moisture and dust exclusion in the field. The result is a rock-solid platform that feels like the sight was always meant to sit there.
Built from 1018 steel and finished in black nitriding for corrosion resistance, this adapter is lightweight—less than an ounce—so it won't throw off the balance of your carry gun. Torque specs are straightforward: plate to slide at 12–15 in·lbs, sight to plate at 18 in·lbs.
| Material | 1018 Steel, Black Nitrided |
| Weight | 0.75 oz |
| Plate-to-Slide Torque | 12–15 in·lbs |
| Sight-to-Plate Torque | 18 in·lbs |
| Compatibility | Glock 43/48 MOS slides with Trijicon RMRcc |
Yes. This adapter is specifically designed for Glock 43 and 48 MOS-cut slides paired with Trijicon RMRcc red dots. The RMRcc uses a different footprint than the Shield RMSc, so this adapter is required for secure mounting.
Forward Controls engineered this plate to keep the RMRcc as low as possible. With the sealing plate installed, the bottom of the sight sits nearly flush with the top of the slide, minimizing height over bore and keeping your sight picture natural.
This is the adapter plate only. You'll need your Trijicon RMRcc sight and the hardware and sealing plate that come with it. Installation requires a torque wrench set to the specified values.
The plate itself is steel and nitrided for corrosion resistance. The design eliminates the gap between the RMRcc's gasket and sealing plate, supporting the sight's moisture exclusion. Always ensure the RMRcc sealing plate is installed per Trijicon's instructions.
