The Fortis Manufacturing K2 System Castle Nut & LE End Plate in gold finish is a precision-engineered buffer tube assembly solution designed for AR-15 builders and shooters who demand reliability without compromise. Where standard castle nuts risk backing out under recoil or extended use, Fortis engineered a two-lockdown system that eliminates that failure mode entirely. The K2 is the evolution of Fortis's lightweight enhanced (LE) platform—a purpose-built alternative to traditional staked end plates and ratcheting systems that require extra tools, gunsmithing, and permanent modifications.

Built from 7075 T6 aircraft-grade aluminum, the K2 System delivers rugged durability in an ultra-lightweight package. The tapered castle nut design seats and seals itself onto the end plate with precision-engineered geometry, creating a mechanical lock that holds without set screws, ratchets, or the need to stake the end plate. That means no marring, no permanent installation, and no guesswork about whether your buffer tube assembly is truly secure. The 360° rotational locking interface on the quick detach socket keeps your sling mount flexible while the castle nut stays put.

At just 16.8 grams total weight, the K2 system won't bloat your rifle's mass budget—critical for hunters, competition shooters, and anyone building a lightweight AR. The gold finish adds durability and corrosion resistance while maintaining the clean aesthetic Fortis is known for. Manufactured in the USA, this is the kind of detail engineering that separates purpose-built components from generic mil-spec compromises. Whether you're a precision rifle builder, an AR customizer, or simply tired of castle nuts creeping loose, the K2 System solves a real problem with elegance and zero-failure engineering.
