Forster
The Forster Products Inc Ultra Micrometer Seater Die for 6.5 Creedmoor gives precision handloaders the ability to dial in bullet seating depth with exacting control. If you're building match-grade ammunition or chasing tighter groups at distance, this die combines Forster's reputation for quality steel and meticulous machining with a micrometer adjustment system that lets you repeat seating depth to within .0005 to .001 inch increments. That level of precision matters when you're trying to tune bullets to your rifle's lands or comparing loads across different projectiles—just dial back to your recorded setting instead of starting over.
Forster reloading dies start with premium steel carefully machined to tight tolerances, then hand-polished before and after heat treatment for a finish that feels as good as it performs. The die incorporates Forster's Cross Bolt Die Locking Ring, which tightens both ends of the split ring rather than relying on a screw threaded directly into the die itself—a design detail that reduces stress on the die body and helps maintain concentricity shot after shot. For 6.5 Creedmoor loading, that's the kind of consistency that separates good handloads from great ones.
The Ultra Micrometer Seater builds on Forster's Bench Rest Seater platform and adds the fine-tuning capability serious reloaders expect. Whether you're working up precision rifle ammunition for competition, hunting, or long-range shooting, this die handles the critical final step—bullet seating—with the repeatability that makes a real difference downrange.
| Brand | Forster Products Inc |
| Die Type | Ultra Micrometer Seater Die |
| Caliber | 6.5 Creedmoor |
| Micrometer Adjustment | .0005 to .001 inch increments |
| Locking Ring | Forster Cross Bolt Die Locking Ring |
A micrometer seater die allows you to adjust bullet seating depth with precision, measured in tiny increments. For precision rifle ammunition, seating depth affects pressure and accuracy significantly, especially when you're fine-tuning loads or switching between bullet types. The micrometer system eliminates guesswork and lets you return to proven settings instantly.
Forster reloading dies are engineered to work with standard reloading equipment and 6.5 Creedmoor brass. However, always verify that your specific press and setup are compatible with your reloading system.
The Ultra Micrometer Seater adjusts in increments of .0005 to .001 inch, giving you extremely fine control over bullet seating depth—the level of precision required for competition and precision hunting loads.
Yes. Once you've recorded your seating depth for a particular bullet, you can dial back to that setting later. When you switch to a different projectile, you simply adjust the micrometer to your new target seating depth and record the setting for future use.
