Forster
If you're loading ammunition for your 6.5-284 Winchester, a quality full length sizing die is where precision begins. The Forster Products 6.5-284 Winchester full length sizing die is built to help you produce consistent, concentric rounds batch after batch—the foundation of accurate, reliable ammunition. Forster has been trusted by handloaders for decades because they understand that tight tolerances and superior finish work directly translate to better performance at the range or in the field.
What sets this die apart is Forster's attention to the details that matter. Each die is machined from premium steel to exacting tolerances, then hand polished before and after heat treatment to ensure a flawless finish. That craftsmanship reduces friction, improves case flow, and extends die life. The E-Z Out expander button is positioned higher in the neck than conventional designs, keeping your case neck centered and aligned as it's withdrawn—this support is critical for maintaining the concentric cases that separate good loads from great ones.
The Cross Bolt Die Locking Ring is another Forster signature. Instead of tightening a screw directly into the die threads (which can cause binding and misalignment), this ring tightens at both ends of the split ring, clamping it evenly. It's a small detail that makes setup faster and more reliable, and it protects the die from the micro-movement that can throw off your press calibration over time.
Whether you're fine-tuning precision rifle loads or building ammunition in volume, this die gives you the control and repeatability that serious reloaders expect. It's an investment in consistency that pays dividends downrange.

A full length sizing die resizes the entire cartridge case to correct dimensions, from the base to the neck. This ensures fired cases will chamber reliably in your rifle and helps maintain consistent velocities and accuracy across your loads.
Forster dies use standard 7/8-inch-14 thread, so they're compatible with any reloading press that accepts standard American reloading dies.
The E-Z Out expander button is a Forster innovation that opens the case neck to the correct diameter during sizing. Its higher position in the neck area provides extra support, keeping the case aligned with the die centerline as the case is withdrawn—this promotes more concentric neck walls and better ammunition consistency.
Yes. Forster dies are engineered for tight tolerances and superior finish work, making them well-suited for precision rifle loads where consistency and concentricity directly affect accuracy.
