Firefield
The Firefield 1.5-5x32 Barrage rifle scope is a versatile, compact magnified optic built to handle hunting and tactical shooting from close range out to mid-distance. Designed for hunters and shooters who need reliable performance without complexity, this scope pairs a rugged aircraft-grade aluminum body with practical optics and user-friendly controls, making it a natural choice for AR platforms, hunting rifles, and carbines that demand a quick-target variable scope.
The real strength of the Barrage is its flexibility. The 1.5x to 5x variable magnification lets you keep both eyes on the game at close range or dial up to 5x for target definition at distance. The illuminated mil-dot reticle is calibrated for 55-grain .223 out to 500 yards—a handy starting point if you're running that round and want ballistic reference points built into your reticle. The dual red/green illumination adapts to your lighting conditions and gives you a glowing aiming point when the sun drops, without turning your entire sight picture into a light show.
Durability matters in the field. The scope's IPX4 waterproof rating handles rain, snow, and creek crossings without fogging or leaking. The matte finish eliminates glint, the fully multi-coated glass keeps light transmission high and reflections down, and the 100-hour battery life means you're not swapping cells every weekend. It ships with a two-piece mount ready to bolt to standard Picatinny rails.
If you're building or upgrading a mid-range hunting or tactical rifle and want an optic that balances magnification, durability, and user-friendly features—without the premium price tag—the Barrage rewards a straightforward setup with honest, reliable glass.
| Magnification Range | 1.5–5x |
| Objective Lens Diameter | 32mm |
| Reticle Type | Illuminated mil-dot (red/green) |
| Reticle Calibration | .223 55-grain, 0–500 yards |
| Tube Material | Aircraft-grade 6061-T6 aluminum |
| Finish | Matte black anodized |
| Waterproof Rating | IPX4 |
| Illumination Battery Life | 100 hours |
| Included Mount | Two-piece Picatinny |
| Optical Coating | Fully multi-coated |
The Barrage comes with a two-piece Picatinny mount, so it will fit any rifle or carbine with a standard Picatinny rail—including AR-platform rifles, hunting rifles with Picatinny tops, and tactical carbines. You'll need appropriate ring height to clear your barrel and bolt carrier, but the rail system is universal.
The red/green illumination is dimmable, so you can dial it down to subtle levels in daylight or crank it up in low light. Many shooters run it on a mid-brightness setting year-round for quick aiming reference, then bump it higher when light gets thin. At full brightness you'll see the glowing dot; at low settings it's nearly invisible in full sun.
The scope's turrets offer precision windage and elevation adjustments for zeroing and holdover. The reticle itself incorporates mil-dot spacing calibrated to .223 55-grain ammunition out to 500 yards, giving you built-in drop references. For adjustments beyond that or different ammunition, you'll dial the turrets or hold over using the mil-dot marks.
At 1.5x you get a wide field of view and quick target acquisition for close-range or moving game. At 5x you gain target detail and precision for longer shots. Most hunters keep it between 2x and 4x for general hunting, then dial up to 5x if they spot game at distance and need to confirm a shot opportunity.
