Federal
Federal Premium Upland Paper 20-gauge shotshells bring back the classic look and feel of traditional upland ammunition without sacrificing modern reliability. Built on Federal's exclusive waxed-paper hull, these 2.75-inch shells deliver a 1-ounce payload of extra-hard copper-plated lead shot designed specifically for upland game birds. Whether you're hunting pheasant, grouse, quail, or other small game, these shells offer the authentic character serious upland hunters have trusted for generations—with a performance edge that keeps you competitive in the field.
The heart of Upland Paper's effectiveness lies in its carefully engineered wad column, tuned to work in harmony with the classic components and propellant for consistent, hard-hitting patterns downrange. Number 5 shot size provides the right balance of pellet count (approximately 170 per shell) and energy retention for typical upland distances. Federal's attention to primer selection and powder charge ensures reliable ignition and consistent velocities, so you can focus on your bird work rather than worrying about ammunition performance.
If you're an upland hunter who values tradition but demands modern ammunition standards, or someone looking to shoot vintage-style ammo in a contemporary gun, Upland Paper splits the difference. Each box contains 25 shells, packaged 25-per-box and sold in a 10-box case, so you've got plenty of ammunition for a full season or multiple trips to the field.
