EGW
The EGW Remington 541 scope base brings modern Picatinny rail mounting to a classic rimfire receiver without any gunsmithing. Built for the Remington 541, this one-piece aluminum base replaces the factory scope mount holes and gives you a standardized rail system that accepts any Picatinny or Weaver scope rings—opening up your optic choices and making swaps quick and simple. If you're running an older 541 and want to modernize the glass, this is a no-drill, no-tap solution that keeps your receiver pristine.
Precision machined from extruded 6061 T6 aluminum, the EGW base is rigid enough to handle whatever you're shooting and light enough that it won't throw off the 541's natural handling. The full-width Picatinny slots are gauged to MIL-STD 1913 specs (±.002"), so any quality ring will fit flush and true. The milled center channel reduces weight without sacrificing strength—a small detail that adds up over a long day in the field or on the bench.
Installation is straightforward: the base drills into the gun's existing receiver holes, and EGW includes the socket head Torx screws and wrench you need to get it on. The company specs 20 inch-pounds of torque and a drop of blue Loctite to keep everything locked down. Whether you're mounting a precision 22 rimfire scope for small game, a red dot for quick target acquisition, or any Picatinny-compatible optic in between, this base gives you the flexibility and repeatability that modern shooting demands from vintage iron.
