EGW
The EGW Browning X-Bolt Short Action 0 MOA aluminum scope base gives your X-Bolt a clean, rigid platform for mounting optics without gunsmithing. Machine-drilled to accept Browning factory scope mount holes on your short-action receiver, this one-piece Picatinny rail installs in minutes and accepts either Picatinny or Weaver scope rings—giving you flexibility to dial in your preferred eye relief and choose from virtually any modern hunting or long-range scope.
Built from 7075 T6 extruded aluminum and machined to MIL-STD 1913 precision, the EGW base is rigid enough to handle recoil without flex or shift. The 0 MOA configuration keeps your scope closer to the barrel centerline than higher-rise options, minimizing sight height and supporting better accuracy from hunting distances to the range. Socket head Torx screws and wrenches are included—just torque to 20 inch-lbs with a drop of blue Loctite and you're ready to mount.
If you're building a truck gun, a backup hunting rifle, or just refreshing an older X-Bolt with modern glass, this base removes the guesswork and lets you run the optic setup you actually want.

Yes—this base is drilled specifically for Browning X-Bolt short-action factory scope mount holes on the receiver. It requires no drilling or tapping. If you're unsure whether your X-Bolt is short action, check your manual or contact us.
The base accepts standard Picatinny or Weaver scope rings. You can choose based on your preferred scope and desired eye relief—the one-piece rail design lets you slide rings to the position that works best for you.
MOA (minute of angle) refers to the angle at which the rail is tilted upward from the barrel. A 0 MOA base is flat—it doesn't tilt. This keeps your scope closer to the barrel centerline, which most hunters and precision shooters prefer for ergonomics and sight picture. Higher MOA bases (like 20 MOA) tilt the scope upward, useful for extreme long-range shooting.
Yes. EGW machines these bases from ultra-rigid 7075 T6 aluminum and gauges the Picatinny slots to strict military specs (+/−.002"). When installed to the recommended 20 inch-lbs of torque with blue Loctite, the base will not shift or flex under normal hunting or range use.
