EGW
The EGW 7075-T6 Aluminum Picatinny Rail Blank is a 7.75-inch machined component built to MIL STD 1913 specifications, designed for gunsmiths and shooters who need to fabricate custom optic mounting bases. Whether you're working with a rifle that has non-standard receiver hole spacing or building a bespoke setup where commercial bases don't fit, this aluminum blank gives you a legitimate alternative to drilling new holes in your receiver. The pre-cut cross-slots are already in place, so you can immediately install any standard Picatinny scope rings without additional machining.
Aluminum construction keeps weight down—a practical advantage on hunting rifles and precision builds where every ounce matters. The flat bottom surface is designed to be radius-cut to match whatever receiver contour you're working with, making it adaptable across different platforms. A matte black finish resists glare and blends with most rifle systems. This is a component for builders with the skills and tools to finish the job; it's not a bolt-on accessory but rather a raw material that speeds your custom base fabrication.
If you regularly work with rifles that fall outside standard mounting patterns or prefer to engineer your own setups, this blank eliminates the need to machine Picatinny slots from scratch. It's the kind of item that makes sense in a gunsmith's shop or for a dedicated builder who knows exactly what they need.

Yes. This is a component blank for gunsmith or builder use. It requires machining the bottom to fit your specific receiver contour and final installation work. It is not a finished mounting base ready to bolt on.
If your rifle has non-standard hole spacing or a receiver profile that doesn't match commercial base patterns, using a Picatinny blank lets you mount optics without modifying the receiver itself. This preserves the receiver and is often faster than custom drilling.
Yes. The flat bottom is designed to be radius-cut to match your specific receiver contour as part of the installation process.
