Edgar Sherman Design
The Edgar Sherman Design Notch shooting bag is a dual-purpose precision bag built for long-range shooters who need a stable rest that adapts to real-world range conditions. Whether you're shooting prone off a barricade, competing at distance, or fine-tuning loads at the bench, the Notch functions as both a rear bag and front bag—eliminating the need to carry two separate bags to the range.
What sets the Notch apart is its 4-way stretch weave construction. That stretchiness lets the bag conform and wrap around barricades, rocks, logs, or whatever you're shooting around, creating a stable platform even when conditions aren't perfect. The Cordura laminate exoskeleton adds durability and protection without bulk, and the PVC-coated fabric resists wear and weather. The real magic, though, is in the squeeze adjustment: with hand pressure on the bag itself, you can dial in micro-adjustments to vertical and horizontal impact without shifting your rifle or your position. That's the kind of tuning precision shooters demand.
Built for shooters who understand that no two range sessions are identical. The Notch is equally at home behind a shooting bench, nestled into barricade courses, or tucked into a field pack for long-distance hunting preparation. It's the kind of gear that earns its place because it solves a real problem—adapting to whatever the range throws at you.

Yes. The Notch is designed to function as either a rear or front bag depending on your setup and shooting position, giving you flexibility across different ranges and competition formats.
The stretch weave allows the bag to wrap around barricades, posts, and natural features, conforming to whatever you're shooting off rather than fighting against it. This creates a more stable platform in field and competition scenarios.
The bag's design allows you to achieve fine vertical and horizontal adjustments by squeezing specific sections of the bag with your hand, without needing to reposition your rifle or change your shooting position.
The Cordura laminate exterior protects the bag from abrasion, wear, and harsh conditions while keeping the package relatively lightweight and packable for range trips and field use.
