Dickinson Arms
The Dickinson Arms 1911 in .45 ACP is a modern take on an American classic, built for shooters who appreciate proven design married to contemporary manufacturing. This 5-inch barrel 1911 combines the ergonomics and reliability that have made the platform a favorite among defensive shooters, sport competitors, and traditionalists alike. Dickinson Arms grounds this pistol in forged steel—both frame and barrel—to deliver the durability and strength that define a working firearm.
The frame and barrel start as forgings, shaped using specialized hot-forging methods with custom molds designed to build material strength from the ground up. Once forged, each component moves through precision CNC machining to meet exact dimensional standards. The manufacturing process doesn't skip post-production: every part is gauged to confirm it meets specification before assembly. This layered approach—forging for robustness, machining for precision, inspection for consistency—is the unglamorous work that separates a reliable pistol from a mediocre one.
The slide follows the same philosophy: hot-forged for durability, then CNC-machined to ensure every surface, contact point, and dimension is where it needs to be. In a 1911, the slide-to-frame fit and the lockup between barrel and slide directly affect accuracy and longevity. Dickinson Arms' attention to these details reflects in a platform built to run hard and hold zero.
If you shoot .45 ACP—whether at the range, in competition, or for personal defense—and you want a steel-frame 1911 that's engineered without shortcuts, this is worth a close look.

This pistol is chambered in .45 ACP, a full-power cartridge widely available from ammunition manufacturers. It's a proven round for both target shooting and defensive carry.
Yes. Both the frame and barrel are forged steel, manufactured using hot-forging methods with custom molds to build strength into the material before CNC machining brings everything to final dimension.
This model features a 5-inch barrel, the standard Government profile for 1911 pistols.
Dickinson Arms uses precision gauges throughout production and after final assembly to verify that every frame, barrel, and slide meets specification. The manufacturing process combines hot forging for material robustness, CNC machining for precision, and rigorous post-production inspection.
