Dead Air
The Dead Air Pyro Blast Shield Insert is a specialized accessory designed to transform your Pyro muzzle device into a more manageable tool for close-quarters shooting environments. If you're running a Pyro for its recoil-reduction benefits but find the blast signature and backpressure problematic indoors or in confined spaces, this shield cap redirects the noise and gas downrange rather than back toward the shooter and nearby shooters. It's a practical solution for indoor ranges, shoot-houses, and training scenarios where muzzle blast becomes a real concern.
Installation is straightforward—the cap mounts directly onto your Pyro to form a linear compensator and blast diverter in one unit. If your setup includes a Dead Air KeyMo Adapter paired with a KeyMo Flash Hider or Brake, the Blast Shield Insert integrates seamlessly into that ecosystem to deliver a unified high-performance platform. The result is reduced felt recoil without the aggressive side-blast that can deafen bystanders or make your shooting position uncomfortable in enclosed areas.
One important compatibility note: this insert is designed for Pyro muzzle devices only and is not compatible with Dead Air KeyMicro or Xeno platforms. Make sure your Pyro is already in your setup before ordering. It's a focused accessory that solves a specific problem—bring your Pyro indoors without turning it into a sound cannon.
Yes, if you own a Dead Air Pyro muzzle device. The insert mounts directly onto the Pyro. It is not compatible with KeyMicro or Xeno muzzle devices, so verify your current setup before purchasing.
The insert is designed specifically for indoor and confined-space shooting. It diverts blast and pressure downrange, making the shooting experience more comfortable for you and those nearby, while maintaining the Pyro's recoil-reduction properties.
Yes. When paired with a Dead Air KeyMo Adapter and a KeyMo Flash Hider or Brake, the Blast Shield Insert integrates into a complete high-performance system that functions as both a linear compensator and blast diverter.
