The Daniel Defense DD5 V5 in 6.5 Creedmoor is a purpose-built semi-auto AR-10 rifle engineered for long-range precision shooting. If you're serious about reaching out to 1000 meters or beyond, this rifle delivers the ballistic efficiency and shooter control that separates precision builds from general-purpose carbines. The 6.5 Creedmoor cartridge combines superior ballistic coefficients with manageable recoil, giving you flatter trajectories and less wind drift than heavier-recoiling magnum calibers—without the pounding. This is the rifle for hunters pushing effective range, precision rifle competitors, and shooters who want a modular, maintainable platform built on the familiar AR pattern.

What sets the DD5 V5 apart is Daniel Defense's attention to the details that matter when precision counts. The cold hammer-forged barrel in the S2W profile balances accuracy with weight so you're not hauling an unnecessary pound to the field or range. The adjustable gas block lets you dial in consistent cycling whether you're running suppressed or unsuppressed—a feature that makes this rifle adaptable to your setup and ammunition. The advanced VAR bolt carrier group, finished in DLC coating and buffered for optimized recoil impulse, strips down for cleaning in seconds and runs reliably in all conditions. The 4-bolt connection system locks the upper and lower together with exceptional rigidity, a foundation for the accuracy you demand at distance.

The DD5 V5 ships with the DD Superior Suppression Device and accepts standard SR-25 magazines, so magazines and support gear are easy to find. The GRIP-N-RIP ambidextrous charging handle includes anti-gas features, keeping you in control whether you're racking the bolt hard or running suppressed. The DD5 M-LOK rail system is free-floating, so mounting optics and accessories won't affect barrel harmonics. At 8.9 pounds unloaded and adjustable length of pull, this rifle feels balanced and purpose-built, not cobbled together.
