Daiichi Hooks
The Daiichi Circle Wide Hook Offset in Black Nickel Size 4/0 is a versatile circle hook designed for anglers who want the best of both worlds: the reliable hook-setting geometry of a circle hook with the open gap of a wide-gap style. Built light-wire for sensitivity and less weight in the water, this hook is particularly effective when you're targeting species that respond well to a slow, steady rod sweep rather than a sharp set. The black nickel finish provides corrosion resistance and a subtle appearance that blends naturally in the water column.
Circle hooks have earned their reputation in saltwater and freshwater fishing for their tendency to hook fish in the corner of the mouth — ideal when you're sight-fishing or when you need a hook that works hard even if you don't have perfect timing on the set. The wide gap on this Daiichi model opens up your options for live bait presentations and gives you more room to work when rigging. The offset design adds another dimension of control and accommodation for different baiting techniques.
This is a pack of 4, so you'll have backups for when you lose one to a snag or a hard-fighting fish. Whether you're fishing flats, rivers, or structure, the Daiichi Circle Wide Hook Offset deserves a spot in your tackle box.

Circle hooks are designed to hook fish in the corner of the mouth when you apply steady pressure — you don't need to set the hook hard. Wide-gap hooks offer more space between the shank and point, making them easier to rig with live bait or larger offerings. The Daiichi Circle Wide combines both approaches: the circle geometry with a wider gap than a standard circle hook.
No — Daiichi recommends a slow sweep of the rod rather than a sharp, aggressive set. The circle geometry does the work for you if you maintain steady pressure.
The offset bend gives you more flexibility in how you rig and present bait, and can help the hook find the corner of a fish's mouth more reliably in some presentations.
This pack contains 4 hooks, so you'll have spares for when you snag structure or tangle with a hard-fighting fish.
