The JP Enterprises D2 Series Ultra Low Profile .875 Adj Gas Block W/ Detent is a precision-tuned gas block built for shooters who demand fine control over their rifle's performance without sacrificing barrel clearance. This adjustable gas block fits cleanly under even tight-fitting handguards—including JP's M-LOK series—thanks to its minimalist profile and optimized geometry. Whether you're running a short-barreled rifle, tuning a high-pressure build, or simply want predictable, repeatable gas adjustment, the D2 delivers the refinement serious AR builders expect.
The forward-facing adjustment design keeps the knob out of the handguard's way, and the exterior detent mechanism resists carbon buildup and fouling far better than traditional side-adjustment blocks. At 52 clicks between full open and full close—double that of JP's previous detent blocks—you get exceptionally fine control for dialing in the exact gas flow your specific barrel and ammunition combination needs. Two-piece construction simplifies installation even on barrels with pin-and-weld muzzle devices, and the 5/32 hex adjustment nut accepts both hex keys and screwdrivers for versatility in the field or at the bench.
Built from 416 stainless steel with a black finish, this gas block weighs just 1.73 to 1.76 ounces—negligible burden for the precision gain. The shorter journal dimensions ensure a solid fit on short-journal barrels like those from Proof. Installation is straightforward with included 6-32 socket head screws and a roll pin for gas tube attachment. If you've been frustrated by coarse gas adjustment or clearance headaches with oversized blocks, the D2 Series is JP's answer to modern, minimalist rifle design.
| Barrel Diameter | .875" |
| Material | 416 Stainless Steel |
| Finish | Black |
| Weight | 1.73–1.76 oz |
| Length | 1.5" |
| Overall Height | 1.24–1.33" |
| Height Over Bore | .79–.81" |
| Width | 1.17–1.29" |
| Attachment | 6-32 × 3/8" socket head screws |
| Included Hardware | 5/64 × 5/16 roll pin for gas tube installation |
| Adjustment Drive | 5/32 hex or screwdriver slot |
| Adjustment Range | 52 clicks full open to full close |
The D2 Series is specifically designed for tight clearances. Its ultra-low profile fits under most handguards on the market, including M-LOK and top-rail designs. At .79–.81" height over the bore, it sits very low relative to the barrel. Verify your specific handguard's clearance requirements, but the D2 is built to solve the fitment issues common with larger, older-style gas blocks.
Yes. The two-piece design of the D2 Series simplifies installation on barrels that already have permanent muzzle devices. The included roll pin and straightforward assembly make it easier to work with pin-and-weld setups compared to single-piece gas blocks.
The D2 Series has 52 adjustment clicks between fully open and fully closed, twice the clicks per rotation of JP's previous detent blocks. This doubling of clicks allows much finer, more precise gas tuning—especially valuable for short-barreled rifles and other builds with unusual dwell times or high-pressure loads where coarse adjustment increments can make tuning difficult.
No. The D2 Series features a forward-facing adjustment design that avoids the side-mounted approach of older gas blocks. This forward orientation keeps the knob out of the handguard's way, whether you need to adjust it or simply want a clean, snag-free profile.
