The CZ-USA CZ 457 Lux .22 WMR bolt-action rifle combines Old World craftsmanship with practical rimfire performance. Built around a European-style walnut stock and equipped with crisp adjustable iron sights, this .22 WMR is equally at home on the range, in the field, or simply as a shooter's rifle that begs to be picked up. The 457 platform has earned a solid reputation among precision rimfire enthusiasts and casual plinkers alike, and the Lux variant brings genuine aesthetic appeal without sacrificing function.
The standout design element is the Turkish walnut furniture, shaped with a cheekpiece and comb that work naturally with the integrated iron sights for comfortable, repeatable aiming. The cold hammer-forged barrel runs 24.8 inches and keeps overall weight to just 6.1 pounds—light enough for all-day handling. At the heart is a fully adjustable trigger that rewards careful shooting, while the two-position push-to-fire safety keeps the rifle secure until you're ready. You get one 5-round detachable magazine in the box, and the rifle feeds and cycles .22 WMR reliably through its smooth bolt action.
One of the 457 platform's best traits is versatility. The 11mm dovetail is ready for scope rings if you want to upgrade your optics, and the barrel is user-swappable—you can pick up additional barrel sets to convert the rifle to a different .22 rimfire chambering without buying a whole new gun. For hunters working varmints or predators at moderate distance, casual shooters who value a well-made rifle, or anyone who appreciates European gunmaking, the CZ 457 Lux rewards attention and delivers consistent performance.
