The CZ Drake 12 GA 28" over/under shotgun is built to deliver genuine firearm value without cutting corners where it counts. This Turkish walnut and pistol grip over/under brings CNC-precision action design and shootable ergonomics to hunters, clay competitors, and sport shooters who want a reliable workhorse that won't break the bank. At 7.4 lbs with a 28-inch barrel, the Drake balances handleability with sight radius, making it equally at home in the field or at a trap range.
CZ engineered the Drake around the same robust action internals found in their higher-end shotguns, then optimized it for straightforward performance. The single selectable trigger lets you choose which barrel fires first—a practical feature that gives you control over shot sequence and energy management. Extractor operation (rather than full ejection) keeps things simple and reliable. The Turkish walnut furniture sports laser-cut checkering for real grip texture, while the snag-free forend design won't hang up on gear or brush. The manual tang safety sits within natural thumb reach, and the flat 8mm vent rib supports a clear sight picture downrange.
The Drake arrives ready to shoot: five flush-mount interchangeable chokes let you tune the pattern to your load and distance, whether you're working close-cover birds or shooting more open patterns over water. The gloss black chrome finish on barrel and receiver resists corrosion without looking fussy. With a length of pull of 14½ inches, comb height of 1⅜ inches, and heel height of 2¼ inches, the Drake fits a wide range of shooters—though as with any shotgun, a proper fit at the gun club or with a gunsmith ensures the best results.
This is a shotgun built to be used, not babied. If you're after a dependable, no-frills over/under for hunting, clays, or general sport shooting, the Drake delivers honest performance in a package that respects your budget.

Yes. The 28-inch barrel and single selectable trigger make the Drake practical for both upland and waterfowl hunting as well as trap and skeet. The included chokes give you options for closer work or open ranges, and the reliable extractor keeps things simple in the field.
The single selectable trigger lets you choose which barrel (top or bottom) fires on the first trigger pull. This gives you tactical control—you can prioritize the barrel with your preferred load or shot, then the other barrel fires on the second trigger pull. It's a practical feature that competitive and hunting shooters appreciate.
The Drake comes with a length of pull of 14½ inches, which fits many adult shooters, but shotgun fit is personal and matters for accuracy and comfort. If you're outside the typical range or want a custom fit, a gunsmith can adjust the stock. The comb and heel dimensions are listed in the specs if you want to compare against your current shotgun.
