The CZ Sharp-Tail 12 GA 28" side-by-side shotgun represents a genuine step forward in classic shotgun engineering. Built on an entirely new action platform, this Turkish walnut-stocked beauty strips away unnecessary complexity while adding the mechanical refinement that makes for reliable, consistent performance in the field. Whether you're working upland birds, hunting waterfowl, or just running clays on a weekend, the Sharp-Tail delivers that timeless side-by-side handling in a package that's notably more compact than its predecessors.
CZ engineered this gun with modern manufacturing techniques and materials you actually care about. The one-piece CNCed receiver now incorporates independent floating firing pins and coil spring-operated hammers—a meaningful upgrade that extends service life and tightens tolerances. The color case-hardened finish isn't just for looks; it's a nod to shotgun tradition while the mechanical single trigger with selective fire control keeps operation intuitive and field-reliable. At 7.3 pounds with a 14.5" length of pull, it swings freely without wearing you down over a long day.
This is a side-by-side built for hunters who appreciate straightforward mechanics and aren't chasing gadgets. The 3" chamber handles the ammunition you'll actually use, and the 28" barrels strike the balance most shooters prefer—long enough for decent patterns, short enough to maneuver in timber or through brush. Turkish walnut furniture gives it character without pretense, and the break-open action means cleaning and maintenance are uncomplicated.
