Colt
The Colt Series 70 Competition Government .45 ACP pistol brings a proven design to the range and competition line. Built on the classic 1911 platform that set the standard for American handguns, this blue-finished steel frame-and-slide Government model chambers the authoritative .45 ACP cartridge and feeds from an 8-round magazine. It's a purpose-built competition rig that honors Colt's legacy while delivering the accuracy and ergonomics serious shooters demand.
Competition shooters know the details matter. This pistol features a National Match barrel for tighter tolerances and improved shot-to-shot consistency, paired with a dual-spring recoil system that manages the .45 ACP's robust energy. The 5-inch barrel is the Government-length standard, giving you sight radius and velocity without excess bulk. Sights are set up for rapid target acquisition: a Novak adjustable rear sight pairs with a red fiber optic front sight, letting you track fast transitions and dial precision at distance. The custom G10 grips wear the Colt logo and provide secure purchase in extended strings of fire.
Whether you're running bullseye matches, steel challenge, or just refining your draw-and-shoot fundamentals, the Series 70 Competition gives you a no-nonsense .45 Government pistol with the accuracy features that support serious handgun practice. The classic blued finish looks sharp and wears honestly as you put rounds downrange.
