Colt
The Colt Python 357 Mag/38 Special revolver brings back an American classic built for serious shooters who demand reliability and precision in a compact package. This 3-inch barreled wheelgun combines old-school craftsmanship with modern refinements—a forged carbon steel frame and barrel finished in matte blue, paired with a ventilated rib that adds structural rigidity where it matters most. Whether you're running it as a duty backup, a nightstand defender, or a range-proven workhorse, the Python handles both .357 Magnum and .38 Special ammunition from its fluted 6-round cylinder, giving you flexibility in what you load.
The trigger is the star here: a leaf spring action that breaks smooth without stacking, cycling through both double- and single-action fire with the kind of predictability that comes only from Colt's revolver pedigree. The double-action pull runs 7–9.5 pounds—substantial enough to prevent negligent discharge yet refined enough that you won't fight it under pressure. Black and gray G10 grips fill your hand without unnecessary bulk, and the exposed hammer gives you all the feedback you need for precision work or fast reload practice.
This is a compact, purpose-built revolver: 8.5 inches overall, 5.5 inches tall, and just under 1.6 inches wide, tipping the scales at 40 ounces unloaded. The front sight is a red fiber-optic post for fast target acquisition in varying light, while the rear sight adjusts for windage and elevation so you can dial it to your exact load and distance. The one-piece carbon steel barrel features a recessed crown and 1:14 left-hand twist with six grooves, engineered for accuracy and durability that will outlast casual use by years.
Built on proven Python foundations and refined for modern carry and sport shooting, this Colt delivers the balance of manageable size, adequate power, and that unmistakable revolver reliability. No electronics, no safeties to fumble—just proven wheelgun performance when you need it.

Yes. The Colt Python chambers both .357 Magnum and .38 Special in the same 6-round cylinder, so you can load either cartridge depending on your needs—lower recoil and cost with .38 Special, or full-power .357 Magnum performance when you need it.
The double-action pull runs 7–9.5 pounds thanks to a leaf spring action that eliminates stacking and delivers a smooth, predictable break. Single-action (with the hammer already back) will be significantly lighter and is ideal for precision work or target practice.
At 3 inches with an 8.5-inch overall length, 5.5-inch height, and 40 ounces unloaded, it's compact and manageable enough for carry in the right holster, though suitability depends on your body type, wardrobe, and carry method. The matte blue finish and exposed hammer are typical of revolvers built for duty or sport rather than deep concealment.
The front sight is a red fiber-optic post for fast target acquisition in variable light, and the rear sight is fully adjustable for windage and elevation, allowing you to zero it to your exact load and shooting distance.
