Cold Steel
The Cold Steel Mini Tac 49Hcfz Bowie is a compact fixed-blade knife that brings serious Bowie heritage into a carry-friendly package. Built on Cold Steel's reputation for rugged, field-tested gear, this fixed knife pairs a clip-point blade with a grippy handle designed for everyday carry, camp tasks, and tactical use. It's the kind of blade that rides comfortable in a pack or on your belt without demanding your entire kit space—a practical choice for hunters, campers, overlanders, and anyone who values a trustworthy cutting tool that won't let you down in the field or at the range.
The blade itself is stonewashed 8Cr13MoV stainless steel, a material choice that balances edge retention with low-maintenance upkeep—no obsessive oil cleaning after a wet day. The clip-point profile gives you a sharp tip for detail work and a straight edge for slicing and general camp chores. It's fixed to the handle with no moving parts, which means no lock failure and no fumbling; just grab and cut. The Griv-Ex handle material is designed to stay grippy even when your hands are damp or gloved, a detail that matters more than marketing copy when you're working in real conditions.
Cold Steel has been making tough knives for serious users for decades. The Mini Tac 49Hcfz Bowie respects that lineage while staying lean and practical for the modern outdoorsman or sportswoman. Whether you're processing game, setting up camp, or simply keeping a sharp edge close at hand, this is a no-fuss blade built to earn its place in your kit.
