Cold Steel
The Cold Steel CS92BKKD Bokken is a 31.5-inch training and practice sword built from durable polypropylene — a no-frills tool for martial artists, sword enthusiasts, and anyone drilling kata or sparring safely without the risk or weight of live steel. Unlike wooden bokkens that can splinter and require regular maintenance, this polypropylene bokken delivers consistent performance in the dojo or backyard, making it ideal for beginners learning form or experienced practitioners who want affordable repetition tools for their collection.
Cold Steel designed this bokken with a full-length black polypropylene blade that resists cracking and wear through thousands of practice swings. The handle wraps in imitation cord for a traditional aesthetic and secure grip during drills — not fancy, but functional for the work at hand. At 31.5 inches, it matches the proportions of a katana-length training weapon, giving you the muscle-memory benefits of realistic blade length without the danger of sharpened edges or the investment of premium hardwood.
Whether you're a martial arts student, an SCA member, an reenactor, or simply curious about sword training, this bokken offers an accessible entry point. It's light enough for extended practice, durable enough for occasional contact drills, and affordable enough to keep spares on hand or share with training partners. No maintenance required—just train, store, and go.
