The Cimarron 1894 .30-30 Winchester lever-action rifle combines classic American rifle heritage with practical hunting capability. Built on the proven 1894 platform, this 26" octagon barrel rifle is chambered in .30-30 Winchester—one of the most reliable and accessible cartridges for whitetail, black bear, and hog hunting across North America. The color case hardened receiver and blue finish deliver that timeless lever-gun aesthetic while the checkered walnut furniture provides both grip and authentic character. At 8.2 lbs, it handles well enough for a day in the stand or walking rough country without excessive fatigue.
Cimarron builds their lever guns with attention to detail that shows in the fit and finish. The 1894 action is smooth and reliable—exactly what you need when seconds matter in the field. The 6+1 capacity gives you adequate ammunition on tap for most hunting scenarios, and the simple adjustable semi-buckhorn rear sight and blade front sight keep you pointed true without complicated optics. That said, the octagon barrel gives you mounting surfaces if you want to add modern glass later.
This rifle earns its place in the working hunter's cabinet. The .30-30 has put meat in freezers for generations, and the Cimarron 1894 respects that legacy while delivering dependable performance. Whether you're hunting in thick timber where long-range isn't an option or you simply prefer the soul of a traditional lever gun, this rifle rewards good fundamentals and familiarity with the platform.

Yes. The .30-30 Winchester is a proven whitetail cartridge, especially in forested terrain where shots are typically under 100 yards. The 1894 action is fast and reliable, the sights are adequate for hunting distances, and the 26" barrel balances velocity with handling. It's a classic choice that still works today.
The octagon barrel provides mounting surfaces for optics if you choose to add them. However, it doesn't come drilled and tapped from the factory, so you'd need to have that work done by a gunsmith.
The overall length is 44 inches, which fits in most standard soft and hard rifle cases designed for full-length rifles.
