CHRISTENSEN ARMS
The Christensen Arms Ridgeline FFT in .280 Ackley Improved represents a full-featured lightweight hunting rifle engineered for backcountry hunters who refuse to compromise between performance and portability. Built on a Christensen Arms precision-machined receiver with a TriggerTech trigger, this rifle combines modern materials and meticulous manufacturing to deliver the kind of accuracy serious hunters depend on, without the weight penalty that typically comes with precision bolt guns.
At its core is a 416R stainless steel barrel with an aerograde carbon fiber wrap—the signature Christensen construction that saves meaningful weight while maintaining rigidity and thermal stability. The barrel is button rifled, hand lapped, and free-floating in a match chamber, while the removable stainless steel side baffle muzzle brake helps manage recoil. The stock is built from Christensen's FFT carbon fiber with bedding pillars and spot bedding to ensure consistency shot to shot, and the rifle ships with an internal magazine featuring an aluminum hinged floor plate. An AICS-compatible detachable magazine conversion kit is also available for hunters who prefer that setup.
The .280 Ackley Improved is a versatile magnum cartridge capable of delivering serious downrange energy for elk and other big game, while remaining manageable in a lightweight platform like this. The Ridgeline FFT's bolt features spiral fluting, an enlarged knob for fast manipulation, and an improved release mechanism, while the enlarged ejection port supports smooth, trouble-free feeding and extraction. The rifle accepts standard Remington 700 optics bases, giving you maximum flexibility in mounting your preferred glass.
