Burris
The Burris Xtreme Tactical 1 Piece Base is a precision rifle scope mount built for shooters who demand a single, rigid foundation for their optics. This one-piece Savage Round Rear Short Action base is machined from solid steel and finished in matte, delivering the kind of durability and repeatability that separates dependable field gear from the rest. If you're setting up a Savage short-action rifle for hunting, tactical work, or precision shooting, a quality base is the first step—it's where accuracy begins.
The engineering here is straightforward but crucial: a single-piece design eliminates the flex and POI shift that can creep in with two-piece mounts. The matte finish resists glare and corrosion, and the 25 MOA elevation built into this base gives you extra upward adjustment for long-range setups without eating up your scope's internal turret range. That's particularly useful if you're stretching distance on game or dialing steel.
Compatibility is broad—the base works with all Weaver-style and Picatinny-style rings, so you're not locked into a single ring manufacturer. Whether you're running a budget setup or high-end glass, you've got options. The base is engineered for both short and long actions, though this version is tailored specifically to Savage round rear receivers on short-action platforms.
This is the kind of component that won't grab headlines but will keep your rifle printing the same group after 100 rounds, temperature changes, and a few seasons afield. Install it, ring it in, and move on to the fun part.
| Brand | Burris |
| Mount Type | One-Piece Scope Base |
| Finish | Matte |
| Material | Solid Steel |
| Rail Compatibility | Weaver-style, Picatinny-style rings |

| Elevation | 25 MOA |
The Burris Xtreme Tactical base accepts all standard Weaver-style and Picatinny-style scope rings, giving you flexibility in both price point and brand.
The 25 MOA elevation is built into the base itself, tilting your scope's optical axis upward. This lets you use more of your scope's internal turret adjustment for precise long-range dials, rather than maxing out on elevation early.
Yes—this base is specifically designed for Savage Round Rear Short Action receivers. Confirm your Savage model uses the round rear profile before purchasing.
One-piece design reduces the flex and movement that can occur with two-piece mounts, supporting consistent zero and repeatability shot to shot.
