Browning
The Browning Maxus II Sporting 12ga 30" semi-auto shotgun is a refined autoloader built for shooters who demand reliability, comfort, and genuine versatility across clay courses, waterfowl marshes, and upland fields alike. This Hydro Dip Carbon Fiber model pairs that proven track record with modern ergonomics and a striking finish that doesn't sacrifice substance for style. The Maxus II builds on the original's legendary reputation for functioning across the full spectrum of ammunition loads—a promise Browning has kept through generations of real-world use.
At its heart sits the tuned Power Drive Gas System, engineered to cycle reliably while managing recoil naturally rather than through brute force. That means you'll shoot all day on clay targets or pursue early-season ducks without the punishing fatigue that wears you down. The Lightning Trigger delivers the fastest lock time in its class, translating to the crisp, predictable breaks that separate clean targets from misses. Pair that with the new SoftFlex cheek pad and a 1.5-inch Inflex Recoil Pad, and you've got genuine relief from magnum loads—not marketing fluff.
The redesigned composite stock and forearm now feature rubber overmolding for confident grip in wet conditions, oversized controls for easier operation in cold weather or gloves, and genuine adjustability. The stock trims up to three-quarters of an inch and shims for cast, drop, and length of pull, so you can fit the gun to your frame rather than forcing your body to fit the gun. New receiver styling with satin-finished flats gives the carbon fiber dip finish something to anchor visually, while Nickel Teflon coating on the bolt, slide, carrier, and handle adds durability and slick operation. The 30-inch barrel, chrome chamber and bore, lightweight magazine tube, and three extended Invector-Plus Midas Grade choke tubes round out a complete, ready-to-shoot package.
This is a shotgun that earns its place in the truck bed or the gun cabinet—not because it looks good (though it does), but because it works reliably when it matters.
