Browning
The Browning 12554 2-piece Weaver style base is a straightforward mounting solution for Browning X-Bolt rifles. If you're building a scoped X-Bolt or upgrading from iron sights, this base gives you a solid, repeatable platform for ring-mounted optics. It's machined aluminum in a black matte finish—unobtrusive, durable, and designed to work seamlessly with standard Weaver-pattern rings and picatinny-compatible optics.
A two-piece base design spreads load and support across the receiver, which is a time-tested approach for centerfire rifle mounting. The matte black finish won't reflect light or draw attention, and it matches the aesthetics of most modern hunting and range rifles. Installation is straightforward if you're comfortable with a screwdriver and a torque wrench—it's the kind of part that disappears into the rifle once mounted, letting your scope do the talking.
Whether you're setting up a new X-Bolt for hunting, target shooting, or long-range work, this base handles the foundational job of holding your optics steady. Pair it with quality rings and a scope suited to your mission, and you've got a reliable shooting platform.
Yes, the Browning 12554 base is designed specifically for X-Bolt rifles and mounts to the receiver using the factory-drilled holes.
Any scope rings with Weaver-pattern mounting will work with this base. Standard two-piece rings in your preferred height and diameter (typically 30mm or 1-inch) are compatible.
This is a two-piece base, with separate front and rear components that distribute support across the receiver for added rigidity and repeatability.
