Browning
The Browning 12552 is a two-piece Weaver-style scope base engineered for Browning A-Bolt and A-Bolt II rifles. If you're mounting a riflescope on an A-Bolt, this is the bedding foundation you need—a straightforward, no-frills mounting solution that puts your optic exactly where it needs to be. Weaver bases are the industry standard for quick-detach rings and nearly universal scope mounting, so you'll have plenty of options when it comes to selecting your scope and rings. The matte black finish matches the low-profile aesthetic of most hunting and precision rifles and resists glint.
Two-piece bases distribute load across two separate mounting locations on the rifle's receiver, which spreads stress and promotes accuracy. This design has been proven across thousands of hunting rifles and target guns. Installation is straightforward if you follow Browning's torque specs and don't over-tighten—a common mistake that can shift zero or damage the receiver. Once properly installed and lapped (if needed), you can remove and reinstall your rings without losing your scope's zero, a real convenience when swapping optics or doing field maintenance.
Whether you're building a hunting rifle, setting up for the range, or restoring an older A-Bolt, this base is the OEM-compatible foundation that gets out of the way and lets your scope do the work. Pair it with Weaver-compatible rings and the scope of your choice, and you're ready to go.
