Brownells
Working on AR-platform rifles means dealing with small, easy-to-lose parts—and the gas block roll pin is one of them. The Brownells Gas Block Roll Pin Punch Kit, 3 Piece, is purpose-built to make installation and removal of that critical pin faster and less frustrating. Whether you're assembling an upper receiver, swapping out components, or performing maintenance on an AR-15 or AR-308, having the right punch for the job saves your knuckles, your sanity, and your parts from damage.
This three-piece kit gives you the proper tools to seat or drive out the gas tube roll pin without hammering away with a random punch and hoping for the best. Using the correct punch size and design means you're less likely to deform the pin, strip the hole, or miss and catch your hand. If you've ever cursed at a stuck roll pin or fought with a punch that didn't fit right, you know why purpose-built tools matter for even "small" jobs on the rifle.
Brownells' reputation in gunsmithing tools is built on paying attention to details like this. The kit is designed specifically for AR-15 and AR-308 gas blocks, so you know the punches are sized correctly for the work. Keep this in your range bag or shop—it's the kind of tool that becomes indispensable once you've used it, and it's compact enough that you won't mind having it around.
Yes. The Brownells Gas Block Roll Pin Punch Kit is designed specifically for the gas tube roll pin on both AR-15 and AR-308 platforms.
The kit includes three punches. Beyond that, we don't have the detailed breakdown of individual punch sizes or designs—contact Brownells directly or check the product documentation for specifics on what each piece is sized for.
Using a punch that's properly sized for the roll pin makes a huge difference. This kit is built for exactly that job, so you're not improvising with a random punch or screwdriver bit.
