Bergara
The Bergara B-14 Ridge Rifle in .223 Rem with an 18" barrel brings Spanish gunmaking craftsmanship to an affordable, no-nonsense hunting platform. Bergara built its reputation on precision barrels and smooth actions in the custom rifle world, and the B-14 Ridge distills that DNA into a production rifle designed for hunters who refuse to compromise on quality without breaking the bank. This isn't a generic mass-market gun; it's engineered from the ground up with the kind of attention to detail you'd find in rifles costing significantly more.
The heart of the Ridge is Bergara's own two-lug action—smooth feeding, reliable extraction via a sliding plate extractor, and a coned bolt nose and breech that work together to ensure cartridges chamber and eject without fuss. The factory Bergara barrel is a #5 4140 CrMo steel profile, threaded 5/8×24 at the muzzle to accept suppressors or muzzle brakes if you choose to add them. That thread protector is included. A crisp Bergara Performance Trigger ships ready to shoot, and the rifle comes factory drilled and tapped for Remington 700–style rings and bases—standard mounts are readily available and affordable.
The stock is a glass-fiber-reinforced synthetic with integral molded epoxy pillars for rock-solid bedding and repeatability. SoftTouch coating on dark gray polymer with black and white flecks gives you a comfortable, tacky grip even in wet conditions. A hinged floor plate feeds 4 rounds in .223 Rem. The Graphite Black Cerakoted barrel and receiver pair cleanly with the grey stock. Fully assembled and ready to mount glass, the B-14 Ridge tips the scales at 7.2–7.7 lbs depending on configuration, keeping recoil and carry fatigue reasonable for all-day hunting or range sessions.
Whether you're reaching out on prairie dogs, varmints, or smaller game, the B-14 Ridge delivers accuracy and reliability at a price point that rewards smart shoppers. This is the rifle for hunters and shooters who know that barrel quality and action smoothness matter—and who'd rather own one good gun than compromise on three.
