Bergara
The Bergara B-14R .17 HMR bolt-action rifle is a dedicated rimfire trainer built on the proven Remington 700 platform. If you're serious about precision shooting—whether you're training for competition, practicing long-range fundamentals on a budget, or working up your skills without the cost and noise of centerfire shooting—this rifle delivers the accuracy and customization options you'd expect from a full-size precision rifle, scaled down to economical rimfire performance.
Built on the B-14R action with a No. 6 taper barrel, this .17 HMR is threaded and capped with a protector, ready to mount a suppressor or accessory of your choice. The rifle ships with Bergara's HMR stock, which features an integrated mini-chassis for consistent bedding, adjustable cheek piece and length-of-pull, and flush-cup sling mounts with swivel attachments. Because it mirrors Rem 700 dimensions and footprint, you can dress it with any REM700-compatible stock, trigger, or base—making it genuinely modular. The single-stack, 10-round AICS-style magazine keeps things simple and pairs with standard short-action mag pouches.
The .17 HMR chambering offers flatter trajectories and more downrange energy than .22 LR, making it a logical step up for shooters ready to practice wind reading and longer-distance technique. At under 10 pounds and 38 inches overall (with spacers), it handles like a centerfire rifle, so your dry-fire drills and position work translate directly to your field gun. Whether you're prepping for NRL22 or PRS .22 competition, or simply want a versatile, affordable platform to sharpen your marksmanship without breaking the bank, the B-14R .17 HMR fits the bill.
