Bear & Son Cutlery
The Bear & Son Blackhawk Point Man Sideliner is a tactical folding knife built for shooters, hunters, and field users who need a reliable blade that deploys fast. With a 3-3/8" drop point blade in D2 tool steel, this knife combines the strength of a serious working edge with the speed of assisted opening—pull the flipper and the blade locks into place instantly, one-handed and ready to work.
Drop point blades are the workhorse choice for general cutting tasks: they won't snag on gear or clothing, the pointed tip is controlled enough for detail work, and the broad cutting edge handles slicing with authority. D2 steel holds an edge well and resists rust better than softer stainless options, making it a smart pick for the field. At 7-5/8" open length, this sideliner sits compact in a pocket but gives you real reach when you need it.
The handle is black G10—a synthetic that won't rot, absorb moisture, or slip when wet—paired with 420J stainless steel liners and bronze washers that smooth out the action. It's straightforward gear: no molly-coddling, no gimmicks, just a knife that works when you do.

A drop point curves downward from the spine to the tip, giving you excellent control on fine cutting work while keeping plenty of edge length for slicing. It won't snag on gear or hang up in your pocket, and the strong spine supports heavier cutting tasks. It's the go-to shape for hunting, camping, and everyday carry.
No. D2 is a tool steel that holds a sharp edge longer than stainless and requires a bit more care—wipe it down after use in wet conditions to prevent rust. For field work where edge retention matters more than zero maintenance, it's worth the trade-off.
Yes. The assisted opening mechanism and flipper let you deploy the blade with one hand in a single motion. Once you pull the flipper, the blade locks open and ready to use.
The facts provided cover the knife itself. For information about any sheath, case, or accessories that may be included, please contact Bosque Outdoors directly.
