Barnes Bullets
The Barnes Spit-Fire TMZ 50 Cal muzzleloading bullets deliver the accuracy and terminal performance serious hunters expect from a lead-free sabot round. Built on Barnes' reputation for precision projectiles, these 45 caliber polymer-tip sabots are engineered to shoot tight groups downrange while expanding reliably on game. The boat-tail design and polymer tip work together to improve ballistic coefficient, giving you flatter trajectory and better energy retention at distance—advantages that matter when you're glassing the ridgeline and need a clean, ethical shot.
What sets these apart is the gas seal. The redesigned sabot creates a consistent, super-tight fit in your bore, which translates directly to better velocity consistency and less shot-to-shot variation. That's the foundation of accuracy, especially when you're hand-loading and tuning your muzzleloader for precision. The lead-free, 100 percent copper construction meets modern ammunition standards and performs reliably across a wide range of powder charges and primers.
If you're running a modern 50 caliber muzzleloader and want a bullet that won't let you down—whether you're at the range verifying zero or in the field when it counts—the Spit-Fire TMZ is worth serious consideration. The polymer tip and boat tail are designed for rapid expansion at typical muzzleloader velocities, so you get consistent performance across reasonable distance and game size.

The Spit-Fire TMZ is a 50 caliber muzzleloader bullet. The projectile itself is 45 caliber, seated in a sabot that brings the loaded round up to 50 caliber diameter for your bore.
The polymer tip raises the ballistic coefficient, which helps the bullet fly flatter and retain energy better downrange. It's also designed to initiate reliable expansion when it strikes game at typical muzzleloading velocities.
Yes, the Spit-Fire TMZ is made from 100 percent copper and contains no lead, making it compliant with lead-free ammunition regulations in areas where they apply.
The Spit-Fire TMZ is designed for 50 caliber inline and traditional muzzleloaders that accept sabot-style projectiles. Confirm your rifle's owner manual for ammunition compatibility before purchase.
