Birchwood Casey
The Birchwood Casey AR500 3/8" Silhouette Elk target is built for shooters who want durable, reliable reactive feedback at the range. This laser-cut steel target combines rugged construction with practical design—whether you're zeroing a hunting rifle, practicing field positions, or running drills before a hunt, you get a target that handles centerfire rounds without flinching. The bright white powder coat finish cuts through mirage and dust, making bullet impacts unmistakable in any light.
AR500 steel is the standard for serious metal targets because it won't crater, spall, or send dangerous fragments back at the shooter when properly spaced and angled. At 3/8" thickness, this target is engineered to handle rifle rounds up to 3000 foot-pounds of energy—plenty for most hunting and range scenarios. Birchwood Casey's precision laser-cut edges deliver a burr-free profile, so you can mount and remount without hassle or hand cuts.
The elk silhouette profile gives you a realistic aiming point that mirrors actual hunting anatomy. Multiple mounting options mean you can hang it on a standard frame, set it on a stand, or bolt it to your range setup. It's the kind of straightforward, dependable target that works just as well for a first-timer learning rifle fundamentals as it does for a serious competitor refining long-range skills.
