Auto Ordnance
The Auto Ordnance Army Commemorative Tommygun (Model TM1C4) brings classic military character to modern shooting. Chambered in .45 ACP, this semi-automatic rifle honors the heritage of one of America's most iconic firearms. Built on a steel receiver with dual-tone O.D. Green and Coyote Tan Cerakote finishes, it's a conversation piece at the range that also delivers genuine shootability. Whether you're a military history enthusiast, a .45 ACP devotee, or someone drawn to the timeless appeal of a tommygun platform, this Auto Ordnance delivers authentic lines without compromise.
At 38 inches overall and 11.5 pounds, the Army Commemorative handles like a true rifle—substantial but manageable. The 16.5-inch smooth barrel keeps velocity consistent while staying under the barrel-length restrictions that affect many semi-auto designs. Fixed iron sights—a blade front and horizontal battle rear—let you shoot without optics, though modern shooters often add a top rail setup. The walnut fixed stock and horizontal foregrip provide solid ergonomics and that period-correct look.
Magazine flexibility matters for shooters who want options: you get both a 30-round stick and a 20-round stick magazine, so you can choose capacity based on your range session or intended use. Steel construction throughout means this gun will hold up to regular shooting and handling. Shooter's Model examples may show minor finish imperfections from manufacturing—cosmetic marks that don't affect function and are often invisible without magnification.
If you appreciate .45 ACP rifles with genuine character and historical authenticity, the Auto Ordnance Army Commemorative is worth a serious look. It's not a tacticool platform; it's a nod to the past that still runs reliably in the present.
