Auto Ordnance
The Auto Ordnance 1911A1 Navy Commemorative is a tribute pistol built on the legendary 1911A1 platform, honoring 250 years of U.S. Naval history. Chambered in .45 ACP, this semi-automatic single-action pistol combines functional reliability with custom commemorative details that make it a standout for collectors, veterans, and shooters who respect American military heritage. The result is a firearm that serves equally well on the range or as a display piece recognizing naval tradition.
What sets this 1911A1 commemorative apart is its multi-toned Cerakote finish—a base of Arctic White and Savage Stainless forms the frame and slide, while Armor Black accents frame the laser-engraved details and markings. The left side proudly displays "NAVY" and the right features a gold-highlighted "250 YEARS" emblem, both finished with striking depth and contrast. The slide top carries engravings depicting Navy Dress Uniform colors and designs. A black-finished trigger, hammer, and safeties complete the professional aesthetic.
The genuine hardwood grips feature a laser-engraved portrait of John Paul Jones—the Father of the American Navy—on the right panel, a powerful symbol of naval resolve and tradition. This attention to historical detail transforms the pistol from a functional firearm into an heirloom. Ships with a 7-round magazine and comes new in the box (Shooter's Model designation indicates the possibility of minor finish imperfections from manufacturing that are typically unnoticeable without magnification).
If you're a Navy veteran, collector, or simply respect the craftsmanship and history embedded in American military firearms, this 1911A1 commemorative delivers both performance and purpose in a package that honors those who have served at sea.

Yes. The Navy Commemorative is built on the functional Auto Ordnance 1911A1 platform and operates as a standard .45 ACP semi-automatic, so it can be shot at the range. However, the custom commemorative engravings, multi-toned Cerakote finish, and hardwood grips with John Paul Jones portrait make it equally valuable as a display piece honoring naval heritage.
Shooter's Model products are new in the box but may have minor finish imperfections that occurred during manufacturing. These blemishes are typically very subtle and difficult to notice without close inspection or magnification, but they allow for competitive retail pricing.
The pistol is equipped with a blade front sight and a rear sight that is drift-adjustable for windage, allowing you to make sight adjustments at the range if needed.
