Athlon Optics
The Athlon Optics Helos BTR 1-10x28 illuminated scope brings genuine versatility to hunters and shooters who want one optic that handles both close-range work and extended shots. The 1-10x magnification range lets you glass game in open country or dial up to thread tight groups at distance—all without swapping glass. The 28mm objective keeps the scope light and handy while gathering enough light to perform in dawn and dusk conditions where deer and elk are most active.
What sets the Helos BTR apart is its no-nonsense engineering. Fully multi-coated lenses and XPL coatings work together to maximize light transmission and maintain clarity across varied hunting conditions—whether you're glassing through morning haze or taking a shot as storm clouds roll in. The illuminated ATMR4 MOA reticle gives you a precise aiming point even in low light, and the MOA-based grid helps you hold for wind and distance without a ballistics calculator.
Locking turrets inspire confidence whether you're hunting over unpredictable terrain or settling in for a longer session at the range. Once you dial your distance, the turrets stay put—no accidental adjustments as you maneuver through brush or reposition on the bench. This is the kind of reliability that separates gear you trust from gear you hope works.
The Helos BTR walks a fine line most optics miss: it's genuinely affordable without cutting the corners that matter. If you're building a rifle that needs to do real work—hunt multiple seasons, perform at the range, handle the occasional longer shot—this scope earns its place on your rifle.
| Magnification | 1-10x |
| Objective Lens | 28mm |
| Reticle | Illuminated ATMR4 MOA |
| Reticle Type | MOA |
| Turret Style | Locking |
| Lens Coatings | Fully Multi-Coated and XPL |
| Color | Black |
The 1-10x range lets you hunt at low power for fast target acquisition in thick cover or when game is close, then dial up to 10x to verify targets at distance or make longer shots with precision. You don't need to carry two rifles or constantly change optics.
The illuminated ATMR4 MOA reticle glows in low light—dawn, dusk, or overcast conditions—making it easier to see and center your aiming point. In bright daylight, it's still visible and precise. Whether you need it depends on when you hunt; early and late season hunters find it especially valuable.
Locking turrets prevent accidental bumps and jostles from shifting your zero—whether that's a branch catching the scope during a hike into your hunting area or a shift in position on the bench. Once you dial your distance, the turrets stay locked in place until you intentionally adjust them again.
MOA (Minute of Angle) is a simple, math-friendly system: 1 MOA equals roughly 1 inch at 100 yards. The ATMR4 MOA grid lets you hold over or into the wind using the reticle itself—no ballistics app required, though one will help at longer distances. It's intuitive for hunters who understand hold-over.
