Arisaka Defense
The Arisaka Defense 600 Series weapon light body is a purpose-built replacement for Surefire Scout Light M600 setups, engineered to solve a real problem on modern AR platforms: keeping your front sight clear. Unlike the standard M600, this light body strips out the stock Picatinny clamp interface, opening up crucial clearance when paired with the Arisaka Inline Scout Mount on 45-degree handguard surfaces. If you've ever fought with a light head interfering with your irons, this is the solution.
The 600 Series body retains full compatibility with Surefire Scout Light M600 series tailcaps and heads—including the KM2C, KE2A, KX2C, and IR variants. It also accepts any aftermarket Scout mount, keeping those mounting holes and square lug interface intact. That means you can assemble a complete light from scratch by sourcing compatible components, or upgrade an existing setup without replacing everything. The body runs 16650 cells (note: not compatible with 18650 or the Surefire M600DF head). Many shooters favor pairing this body with Malkoff E2HT or E2XT heads for superior beam profiles and candela output compared to Surefire's own options.
Built in the USA and weighing just 0.6 oz, the 600 Series body is made for serious rifle setups where weight and real estate matter. Whether you're running a precision rifle, a duty carbine, or a hunting AR, this is a thoughtful piece of gear from a brand that understands the details that separate good tactical lights from great ones.
| Weight | 0.6 oz |
| Compatible Cells | 16650 |
| Included Hardware | One #17 o-ring, one #15 o-ring |
| Country of Origin | USA |
Yes—the 600 Series body works with Surefire Scout Light M600 series tailcaps and heads including the KM2C, KE2A, KX2C, and IR heads. It is not compatible with the Surefire M600DF head or 18650 cells. The body accepts 16650 cells instead.
That's the main design goal. By removing the stock Picatinny clamp interface, the 600 Series body provides increased clearance for front sights when used with the Arisaka Inline Scout Mount on handguards with 45-degree mounting surfaces adjacent to the top Picatinny rail.
Yes. The body retains the mounting holes and square lug interface, so it's compatible with any aftermarket Scout mount and light head. Many shooters pair it with Malkoff E2HT or E2XT heads, which offer improved beam profiles and higher candela output than Surefire offerings.
The light body ships with one #17 o-ring and one #15 o-ring. You'll need to source a compatible tailcap, head, and cells separately to build or complete your light.
